Founded in 1976 the
Invicta Flyfishing Club based in Cambridge celebrated its 25th
Anniversary in 2001. The Club welcomes new members and aims to promote
the sport of fly fishing by the education and encouragement of its
members in all aspects of the sport. To achieve this, evening meetings
are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month (October to
April). These meetings cover a wide range of fly fishing and fly tying
subjects and often have a well known fishing personality as guest
speaker.
The Club arranges
fishing trips monthly throughout the season (April to October), at
various venues including reservoirs and small waters, both bank and boat
fishing and even occasionally float tubing. Between May and July the
Club holds a regular Tuesday evening boat league on Grafham Water. Club
fishing events are friendly and beginners can learn a lot by fishing
with more experienced anglers.
We also have an annual
dinner where we give out the various club trophies.
Why not come along to
one of our meetings and introduce yourself to us, you will be assured of
a good evening out. |
